Our Vision

At Tumblebug, we are committed to creating a sustainable future by integrating innovative technologies with sustainable practices, turning organic waste management into an opportunity for environmental and economic advancement.

Our Challenge

The current state of organic waste management is deeply entrenched in the constraints of the linear economy model, which prioritises large-scale collection and processing systems.

This model encourages waste management companies to adopt inefficient collection methods that aim to gather and process waste in bulk, rather than focusing on the optimization of resources or recovery of value. As a consequence, the inherent nutritional value of organic waste is consistently undervalued and underutilized.

Moreover, the potential for localized processing of waste is largely ignored, despite organic waste comprising approximately 80% water content.

This oversight significantly contributes to increased Scope 3 emissions, as the transportation of this predominantly water-based waste to distant processing facilities is both energy-intensive and driven by outdated economic practices.

Our Approach

We believe all organic waste should be treated as the valuable resource it is.

We believe small-scale, technologically advanced solutions can fix a broken linear model.

Processing waste on-site and at source not only significantly reduces waste management costs, but drives self-sufficiency, reduces our environmental footprint and fosters a global adoption of circular economic principles.
